A new way to build with earth

Good earth.
Great walls.
Less effort.

Meet Adobe Ninja. A portable hyperadobe filling tool that turns earth and mesh tubing into a continuous wall, right where you’re building.

The continuous building method
Earth in. A continuous wall out.A second ninja hands full buckets to a larger ninja who is larger than the tool. The ninja pours visible earth into the hopper, then throws each empty bucket down to ground level, where the helper picks it up. Adobe Ninja rolls forward as a wide mesh bag fills behind it on prepared ground for the first row, then on top of each completed course. The new bag is rounded and loose as a following hand tamper progressively flattens it. The wall extends past both edges, and the tool rolls out of view. Completed courses remain in place while the tool moves up to build a six-course wall from bare ground, with the view widening to reveal the finished wall. A spray wets the top of every tamped course before the next course is laid. Once the wall is complete, the ninja walks out alone on top, jumps down with an airborne chop, spin, and kick, and lands on the ground. Prepared ground Roll, fill, and tamp as you go. Wide mesh tubing fits over the funnel neck. Course by course, from the ground up

Built to move with you

A portable hand-truck design brings the hopper onto the wall line, where the next course takes shape.

Fill and lay in place

Earth goes into the funnel. Filled mesh tubing feeds directly onto the course below.

A continuous approach

Build with long earth-filled tubes instead of forming, handling, and laying individual adobe bricks.

From loose earth to a laid course

Keep your crew in flow.

One person steadies the tool.
Another fills the hopper.
The wall grows a course at a time.

  1. 01

    Position the hopper

Set the tool on the last course and hold the hand-truck handles steady over the wall line.

  2. 02

    Sleeve the mesh

Bunch the hyperadobe mesh tubing around the funnel neck, ready to feed as it fills.

  3. 03

    Fill and move forward

Shovel moist earth into the hopper. Guide the filled tube along the wall as the tool moves forward.

  4. 04

    Tamp and wet the course

Tamp the filled tube, then wet the top surface before laying the next course.

A little groundwork

New to hyperadobe?

Here’s where to start.

What is hyperadobe?

Hyperadobe is an earthbag building method that uses long mesh tubes filled with moist earth. The tubes are stacked and tamped into continuous wall courses, instead of forming individual adobe bricks.

What does Adobe Ninja do?

It brings a wheeled hopper onto the wall. One person holds the hand truck while another fills the funnel. Mesh tubing feeds off the neck as a continuous earth-filled course.

Is it for earthbag construction?

Yes. Hyperadobe is a form of earthbag construction that uses mesh tubing. Adobe Ninja is designed to fill those tubes on site and keep a small crew moving.

When can I get one?

The idea behind Adobe Ninja

Better tools for
building with earth.

Adobe Ninja brings the filling station to the wall. Its purpose is straightforward: help builders fill continuous mesh tubing in place and keep a small crew moving.

The field photos show the original equipment. The animation explains the filling, tamping, and wetting process as a wall grows.
